The plunging neckline: A strong trend for 2015
I am a fan. Though It’s not for every occasion, I love the combination of a demure hem and a deeply plunging neckline for evening events.
It’s not a cut for everyone. It looks patently less attention-seeking when sported by a woman with a smaller bust and the proper application of double-stick fashion tape prevents wardrobe malfunctions. It also requires a certain amount of confidence. This is not one for the faint of heart.

Of course there are ways… A plunge neck jumpsuit becomes a wear-anywhere option with the simple addition of one of fashion’s most modest items–in a suitably thin fabric, of course.
It’s rare when a truly comfortable shoe wins in the style game.
A stacked heel bootie is an easy way to freshen up your look. Just stow your favorite tall boots or biker boots (keep them, they’re classics) and try an ankle grazing pair to add a new look to your closet staples. It’s kind of like changing your Instagram filter from Nashville to Mayfair.
Summer fashion articles seem to be about aspirational shopping. A kind of “dress for the job you want” paraphrased instead as “dress for the luxury escape you want.” Admittedly, I am guilty of taking this one step farther. Even when I am just headed down to the (beautiful) white sandy beaches of Florida, I pack with a more exotic locale in mind.
You know the kind—tropical breezes, daily massages and a private beach.
So, I am inspired to aspire myself. Consider this aspirational packing list for the ideal island escape. Of course, it all fits into one darling bag along with some fabulous lingerie, and this fantasy comes with a private jet, so no worries over toiletries and TSA requirements…
While the winter was far from harsh this year, gray skies have me wishing I was somewhere slightly more exotic.

It’s tough reading Anna Karenina in Waikiki.
Trust me, I tried it.
Oh, it’s not nearly so dicey as say . . . reading Lolita in Tehran, but it’s a challenge to concentrate on Tolstoy’s brilliant description of winter landscapes while lounging under a palm tree poolside.
What is tremendously easy? Ambling. It was incredibly easy to embrace the novel idea of doing nothing but soaking up the Pacific Rim flair of this seaside city.
…and then there are dresses.
Has a midi dress ever looked so sexy? Of course, deep decolleteges are not for everyone.
